Naked House

Abstraction is the process of generalization by reducing the information content of the concept or an observable phenomenon, typically in order to retain only information, which is relevant for a particular purpose. For example, abstracting a leather soccer ball to a ball retains only the information on general ball attributes and behavior.

For this project, I want to focus on the abstraction of Naked House. My concept abstraction is about the movement. The reason that I choose the movement concept is because there are five family members of this house; father, mother, 2 kids, and grandmother who live together and often like to rearrange their home. However, they have a low budget to build this house. They need to save money as much as they can.

Processing
1. Researching in the library about the Naked House.
2. Drawing plan and section on vellum paper 18”x 24”. Scale: 1/4 = 1’- 0”

3. Three-concept abstraction drawings on tracing paper. Scale: 1/8 = 1’- 0"

4. One sketch concept models. Scale: 1/4 = 1’- 0”

5.Revising models and drawings.
